The patient, a 48-year old woman, arrived with multiple problems. For one thing she suffered from a drug-induced discoloration of all her teeth, for another thing she had a double-sided fracture of her jaw bone and a complete shift of her lower jaw bone and several tooth fractures caused by a bike accident.

After a year-long period of reconvalescence with functional therapy by means of splints, as well as close physiotherapeutic support, we opted for an aesthetically appealing reconstruction in this very complex case. The patient is now able to eat without suffering from pain and enjoys her healthy and natural looking teeth.

The tooth structure was completely intact and as little preparation as possible was required. In a model analysis in the laboratory, it was checked whether it was possible to fabricate the restoration without preparation. The result of the restoration is layered veneers on refractory dies, which thin out on the untreated surface of the teeth.

The patient, 16-year old, had a tooth fracture caused by an accident and the tooth darkened over time due to a subsequent root canal treatment. The patient came to our practice with the desire to whiten and build up the front tooth again.
Afterwards
Under a microscope, the tooth was cleaned of its old, discolored filling and whitened with intradental bleaching. In the second session, the original beautiful shape was restored with composite.
